Finish It Up Friday ~ Scrappy Trips

I finished up my Scrappy Trips quilt a while back. I’m finally getting around to sharing it.

This started with this jelly roll of Boundless Ombré from Craftsy. I originally planned to use this gray for the background. I’m glad I went with the white.

In this next photo, you get a sneak peek at my backing surprise!

I found this at a discount shop a while back and grabbed it as I knew it would make a great backing someday! It was marked 100% Cotton on the selvedge.

I love how it turned out!

Have a great day!

Never mind. A little more studying and I have it. It looks like you used an eight strip set instead of a six strip set. I thought I might make a small dent in my hoard of 30’s repros and unbleached muslin with this project. It’s a beautiful quilt.

Did you use a pattern for this? I like the way the white and colored diagonal rows alternate without having 4 white or 4 colored squares meeting at the corners when the blocks are joined together. That’s what happens with Bonnie Hunter’s Scrappy Trip’s pattern. I like yours much better.
