I finished up my Scrappy Trips quilt a while back. I’m finally getting around to sharing it.
This started with this jelly roll of Boundless Ombré from Craftsy. I originally planned to use this gray for the background. I’m glad I went with the white.
In this next photo, you get a sneak peek at my backing surprise!
I found this at a discount shop a while back and grabbed it as I knew it would make a great backing someday! It was marked 100% Cotton on the selvedge.
I love how it turned out!
Have a great day!

Never mind. A little more studying and I have it. It looks like you used an eight strip set instead of a six strip set. I thought I might make a small dent in my hoard of 30’s repros and unbleached muslin with this project. It’s a beautiful quilt.
Did you use a pattern for this? I like the way the white and colored diagonal rows alternate without having 4 white or 4 colored squares meeting at the corners when the blocks are joined together. That’s what happens with Bonnie Hunter’s Scrappy Trip’s pattern. I like yours much better.

That turned out so pretty. Snow pictures are the best. And you were definitely right about the backing. It’s incredible!
Beautiful quilt! Love all those squares and the backing!
Lovely top and backing~!
Beautiful and love the backing.
Ooooo la la, this is beautiful! The front is simply vibrant! Nice choice for the backing too! Well done!
How beautiful – two quilts in one.
Gorgeous! The clever backing has turned this one into a truly reversible quilt.
PERFECT backing. Such lovely surprise. I have a Scrappy Trip in my future…just need to get a few others done first.
A beautiful quilt and love the back. I’m glad you used the white background. The colors just glow against it.
I love it! That turned out great!
This is breathtaking and amazing.
Really, really neat!!!
I like it too! It’s beautiful. The backing is such a fun surprise. Hugs,
Gorgeous quilt!!!!
This is beautiful! And the backing fabric is also outstanding. I have a Scrappy Trips all finished, except for the binding! You are motivating me to dig it out!
Beautiful quilt Katy! The backing is a wonderful surprise too. It looks like a twin quilt. I always wondered how far a jelly roll would go. Congrats on a great finish!
With that fantastic backing, this lovely quilt could be reversible! Glad you went with the white too; it really makes those colors pop!
Oh I love the front but I love the back just as much!
Such a beautiful, happy quilt! That backing is so gorgeous that this quilt can be used with either side up. A real winner!
Love it….. AND the backing.
That is a very cheery quilt. I love those bright colors. Not my grandmother’s trip around the world, that’s for sure!
What a gorgeous quilt! And the backing is PERFECT!!
What a surprise backing! This turned out just beautiful!
Gorgeous Beauty- front and back!!! Kudos to you
Beautiful quilt, and that backing is amazing! I love the ombre fabrics alternating with the white–great idea!
