I was recently contacted by the Dutch Label Shop and asked if I would like to try out their labels. I looked at their site and was intrigued so I accepted their offer of a voucher and thought I would share my experience here.

I’m admittedly not good about labeling things. After the binding is finished, I’m over it! I have some little labels that I can insert as the binding is sewn, but I never remember to use them. They all say Nana anyway! So I decided to take the lazy way out and order iron on labels.
I got one set to put on gifts, and the other set in case I sell a quilt.

To attach, you just use an iron on cotton setting, no steam, and a bit of parchment paper.

Iron for 20 seconds and let cool for two minutes.

And voila!

I felt quite virtuous labeling three quilts in under 4 minutes!

The labels are nicely embroidered. There are many options as far as size and styles and you can even add a custom logo.
The Dutch Label Shop is also offering 15% off your order for my readers. Just use this coupon code: katyquilts15
Have a great day!

I totally feel ya. I also feel the same way about gift bags and greeting cards. I mean, Isn’t the quilt/gift enough? Do I really gotta write to/from? Can’t I just say “it’s from me” or “I made this for you”? I have to force myself to label. I was actually considering trying a different label company. My current gal takes entirely too long to fill an order. I’ll definitely check these out!
I like the idea of iron-on labels. I never thought to add my e-mail or web address on my labels. Hmmm…something to consider for next time.
I like them. I’m sure they also come in different sizes. We’ll be watching to see how they stay on after washing….you are our test subject. LOL
I had labels like that 40 years ago that said “Made With Love” but they had to be sewn on.
I wondered about how they would hold up after washing too. I’m terrible at labeling my quilts. Like you, once the binding is on, it’s done! I have considered having some labels made by this company, so thanks for the review!
Can you let us know how they hold up after a few washes? These are intriguing.
