Shenandoah Stars Progress

I finally have this on the frame. This is another top where I had intended to add borders. But I’ve decided to donate it to a place that really doesn’t need anything bigger than twin size.

I haven’t used this panto in a while.

This is the thread I’m using.

This top is so busy, it is hard to see the quilting.

Have a good one!

About katyquilts

I am a wife, mom of four amazing kids, and a librarian. I have been making traditional quilts for ages but have ventured into art qulting in the last several years. I also love to knit socks and mittens and dye my own fabric. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!

    Hi Katy,
Such a pretty quilt, and that sand colored thread is lovely too. I am sure someone will love having it on their bed and snuggling under it. ~smile~ Roseanne

One of the things I like best about your posts is how you encourage us to use color in our thread. I’m always using grey, and it’s so neat to see what you use and how beautiful it looks on your lovely quilts. Thanks!

  6. I am in love! Gorgeous fabrics and that simple star pattern is a favorite of mine. Simply beautiful.

  9. Lovely quilt Katy! I saw a tutorial (maybe Angela Walters) that recommended using yellow thread for quilting across a multicoloured top – interesting.
