A Crafty Project ~ Magnets

If you’ve read my blog for any length of time, you know I love vintage enamelware. I while back, I found a table top, just the top. Daughter #3 had the brilliant idea of using it for a magnetic bulletin board in the sewing room.

I just  needed some cool magnets. So I picked up this button cover kit.

I used wire cutters to remove the button shank.

Then I chose some fabric scraps and got to work covering the “buttons” according to the package directions. After that was done, I used glue Dots to adhere disk magnets to the back.

And voila!

They work great!

Have a wonderful day!

About katyquilts

I am a wife, mom of four amazing kids, and a librarian. I have been making traditional quilts for ages but have ventured into art qulting in the last several years. I also love to knit socks and mittens and dye my own fabric. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!
