I’ve had several people ask what I use to hang my quilts to take photos.

I found these at Ikea in the laundry area.

A package of two costs about $2.50. I can’t remember what Ikea calls them. The hook swivels. I’ve found them to be quite handy.
I made myself a little design board to keep my block pieces together when I carry them to the machine.

There are directions to be found online for fancier design boards, but mine will probably be tossed out when I leave here so I didn’t want to put much time or any money into it. So I used a scrap of batting and a box. Here is the not so fancy back.

I just used a glue stick to turn the extra bits to the back side. I’ve been using this quite a bit and will probably make another when I get home. Heaven knows I have plenty of batting scraps!
I hope you found these useful. Have a great day!

Two great tips! Atlanta is my closest Ikea, so I’ll try to remember next time I am there to stop in and look for those.
Thanks for this handy dandy info! Keep ’em coming. =)

Very clever, Katy!
The small home made design board is a good idea.. Such things help keep the projects organized and in mind. Thanks

I may need to make a trip to Ikea soon, but not until after the holidays!
I admire your frugalness. Those thing-a-ma-bobs have made my shopping list. Thanks for sharing!
