I am making progress on my Gwennie Inspired Medallion QAL center.
My stems are all appliquéd down. I will appliqué the basket today and hope to finish prepping the other bits to add to the stems. This is the plan I’m going with:
In other news, yesterday I got some new shoes.
These were not cheap, but I’ve been trying to up my walking and good shoes are important. Hubby and I tried out our new shoes last night. They felt great! I reached a milestone with my Fit Bit yesterday, I’ve walked 500 miles since I got it at Christmas! Go me!
Off to church, some family time, and then my slow stitching! Have a great day!

Hi Katy I’m in the process of designing my Gwennie block, and wondered what size you are making yours? I love what you are doing. I’m in need of some new walking shoes. I have an app on my phone that tells me how far and fast I am walking. I hate doing it, but its good for me, and I have a friend I always walk with. We walk approx. 25-30 K’s a week! 🙂
Love what I’m seeing so far of your basket block. Cool shows … and congrats on 500 miles!
Love your Gweenie block. I had to laugh…..our blocks are similar. I finished mine Friday. Can’t wait to see all our blocks. Hugs,
Good shoes ($$$) make such a difference, I really like how your piece is developing.
Enjoy your family day.
Your applique is coming along beautifully! Your flowers are really sweet. Love the shoes — great color! It probably makes your feet wanna move!! 🙂
Neat appliqué, cool footwear! Enjoy your day! ☺
Good shoes are the key to walking fitness. Love the colors. Your appliqué is beautiful.
Yah you! That is awesome!
You need to be healthy to be able to do all that stitching!
Comfortable shoes make all the difference! Yours are stylish too! Bonus!!! Love how your medallion is coming along! I went to the last three Beaver Island Quilt Retreats and continue to be inspired by what I learned from Gwen.
Good luck for the miles ! You can be proud !
I love your first block ! So cute !
New shoes are very important when you walk. I think they are motivating too, especially when you have a monetary investment in them. Enjoy your walking and stitching. Your flower basket is going to be very pretty.
500 miles is quite impressive and the applique is lovely 🙂
