Slow Stitching Sunday

I love hand sewing the binding on quilts! And both Noteworthy baby quilts are at that stage.

One of these days, I will get back to my Brinton Hall quilt!

About katyquilts

I am a wife, mom of four amazing kids, and a librarian. I have been making traditional quilts for ages but have ventured into art qulting in the last several years. I also love to knit socks and mittens and dye my own fabric. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!

I’m with you on hand sewing binding. Used to hate it, but now it signals an almost-completed project!

Oh Katy, don’t worry it’s the same for me and our Brinton….
Come on ! Let’s get back to it in January !

  3. I think binding by hand is the most relaxing handwork! Merry Christmas!

  4. Sewing down the binding is probably my favorite thing to do! Such a sense of accomplishment, and I love hand sewing anyway. The bottom quilt, above, is so sweet. Great pattern and wonderful fabric choices. Love it!

  5. Enjoy binding… it’s my favourite!
