I stayed away from the stores yesterday. No surprise there, I hate shopping and I hate crowds! I got up and loaded this QOV. I figured I could easily get this one done and another loaded since hubby had to go in to work.
But then a cute little man knocked on my door bearing coffee and donuts! So, who was I to argue? Or quilt? He was a big helper putting up our tree.
But he prefers working without pants.
I got up this morning and had a bit of time before work. I went down to the sewing room to see what I could do in just a few minutes. I mended a dress for Daughter #3 and came across a UFO that is at least 4 years old. I thought I would see how much quilting I could get done before work.
The answer? Not enough to finish it!
Have a great day!

I had never heard of Black Friday until I was handed a brochure to boycott it. I’m not a shopper either. Love your helper. I always find that if I can start quilting something, I’ll be more likely to come back to it with small bits of time. Otherwise the bits of time get frittered away.
I assume his shirt says, I love my nanny. Your tree looks great.
I used to enjoy Black Friday when I was much younger but I haven’t participated in it for YEARS!! That’s one huge tree, Katy, and one adorable helper. I may be biased but I love his dark hair. My husband, kids and I all have dark hair. That said, we’re all gray now (except for me)! haha
Very cute little helper! Looks like you made a lot of progress on that UFO. I need to better use those few minutes I could be sewing. You can get a lot done in just a few minutes!
Your tree looks beautiful. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
Love your helper! He did a marvelous job decorating. I’m with you – I don’t do crowds & shopping! Unfortunately several in my family work retail, so the holidays involve a lot of napping and heading to work early.
