Sort of a finish…

Sort of because it is not my finish! I did finish quilting Mama Mim’s quilt last night. These pictures are not the best but I wanted to get it packed up and ready for the post office. So they will have to do.

I quilted a freehand feather swirl all over design. I used Omni thread on top (Maple) and Premosoft in the bobbin. I have heard of a lot of people having trouble with Omni lately. I had to use a size 18 needle and that seemed to eliminate all shredding.

I like the way it shows on the back.

  1. This is a really lovely quilt – the simple design of the piecing emphasises the gorgeous soft colours, and the quilting gives it the perfect finish.

Freehand?? Are you kidding me? It’s *wonderful*! Just want to let you know I’m going off the radar until the latter part of the month so I won’t see your wonderful updates until I return. See you then.

I love everything about this, especially the hands that crafted it! Love you both. ❤

Katy, the quilting “made” the quilt. It zoomed from mediocre to magnificent! I want to carefully look at how you do the binding so neatly—mainly the corners is my concern.
