I spent a little time playing with layouts for my Miss Kate fence rail blocks last night.
I think I will go with one of the above layouts rather than setting them together like this.
I also got the binding on my last shirting quilt.
I will share this finish on Friday. Hopefully I can get this washed and pictures taken by then.
Yesterday Daughter #1 and I made 24 pints of applesauce from the apples on our trees.
Today will be another very full day with Baby E here in the morning and then working from 1-9 PM. Just in case I feel like a bit of sewing after that, I have the perfect little project ready to go:
These Square in a Square blocks are for my October challenge quilt for the SQT group. I will again be using vintage fabrics to make mine.
Have a lovely Tuesday everyone! Linking up with Connie at Free Motion By the River for Limky Tuesday.
Your rail fence is looking fabulous! I love that block … and am surprised that I’ve never made a rail fence quilt. I need to remedy that. ha!
Ahh, now I see the answer to my previous question. Alas, I don’t have EQ, so time to keep searching. I suppose I can always print out a free pattern and have it reduced at a copy center.
I love the first picture, wow it looks so good.
have fun with the baby and ah yes I printed those out too! may need to whip that little quilt up this week.

I love your Miss Kate blocks. The colors are great, and they look good any way you arrange them!
Isn’t it amazing to take such a simple block and see all the different ways to set it! We picked apples on Saturday afternoon, so many!!! We really like apple crisp and apple butter so I might be doing some of that in between just eating them.
You got a lot done!! I love the colors of your fence rail! (Oh…and your new profile pic. looks great!)
