This has been such a fun little project!

Iām sewing my blocks into two different rows.

The stripe in this one is part of a Magnolia sheet I used for a quilt back.

I love it when a plan comes together!

Have a great day!

Mr. Wonderful asked if I had a baby quilt on hand to gift to a former co-worker. I was all out, which gave the perfect excuse to make another! So I dropped everything and started. This is the charm pack I started with.

These two dies are from the AccuQuilt 9ā Qube. The square is 5ā for a finished size of 4 1/2ā, same as a charm square.

I really hate the pinked edges on precuts. I used the square die to trim them off.

This is the extra from 20 charm squares.

Time to make some hourglass blocks. Have a great day!

I have a couple bins like this of vintage feed sacks Iāve collected over the years. I finally decided to start cutting them up to use.

The prints are wonderful!
I decided to ease into things by cutting 5ā charm squares.

Then I thought, some of you might enjoy some as well!

So, I currently have 6 sets I will sell. Each set has 30 different 5ā charm squares of authentic feed sacks. the price is $30 each and that includes shipping via USPS Ground Advantage in a padded envelope. I will only ship within the US and payment must be made by PayPal.
Please email me at sew4given@aol.com if you would like to purchase a set and include your PayPal email so I can send an invoice.
Thanks!
Iāve had this on my list for ages and finally read it. Iām not a huge Steinbeck fan, but the premise caught my interest. It was interesting, but just okay. Does that even make sense?

Now Iām reading this.

I woke up to frost one day last week.

A couple days later, it looked like this. Michigan is beautiful in the fall! Since I took this photo, most of the leaves are on the ground.

I set this up and then told the mister that our toilet was smoking.

He was not amused. š

I finished the puzzle above to find one piece missing. it was underneath the finished part.
Before I go, there is a great deal on AccuQuilt Studio dies right now.

Have a great weekend!

The blocks for this quilt were made as part of a sew along headed up by Taryn, @reproquiltlover, on Instagram. It was so fun! The blocks are small, finishing at six inches.

I couldnāt think of how to quilt this, so I fell back on my usual Baptist Fans.

The binding was a bit of a surprise, but it worked.

Gotta love that texture!

A couple of my favorite blocks.

I have no idea where this will end up, but for me, the joy is in the making.

Have a great day!
This is another idea I considered for my leader/ender 4 patches.

Since I wasnāt having success with my first idea, I decided to try to combine these ideas.

Oh, yeah! I think this might work!
Have a great day!
Thank you all for your lovely comments on Mr. Wonderfulās retirement! As this post publishes, we are sleeping in without an alarm clock. š
Itās been a busy month for me, but in spite of traveling and being sick, I still finished some things up.
Iām quite chuffed with this stripy quilt.

This tumbler was a very quick finish, but then, those tumblers are pretty big.

A Christmas gift is finished!

And this Lincoln Museum quilt is off the bucket list.

This was finished back in late August, but it was secret sewing for the Fat Quarter Shop so I wasnāt able to share sooner.

Have a great day!

Iām really not sure where to begin with this post. Iām feeling very sentimental today.

This is Mr. Wonderful. He has been my best friend for nearly forty years and my husband for over 37 years. Together we have raised a family of four wonderful children, and welcomed five beautiful grandsons.
Today is his last day of work.
He is retiring after a long career in the automotive industry. His career has taken him all over the world. It even moved our family to France for a few years. He has patents to his name. He has received awards and recognition.
But his greatest accomplishments, will be the many lives he has touched, the people he has mentored. The notes written to him, the retirement party, the kind words spoken to me about him, all testify to the great love he has for people. I am so very proud of him.
It is very gratifying to know that others see in him what I have always known. That he is strong, creative, able. But he is also kind, with the most beautiful heart, always looking to support and bring out the best in other people.
We are not entirely sure what the path ahead looks like, but we plan to keep walking it with Jesus, and He knows the way.
Just for fun, here is a silly photo of us. We bought outfits and dressed up to take this photo for our kids. Is this what retirement looks like? š

Thanks for indulging me. I love him. ā¤ļø

Remember these?

I had an idea that I might lay them out like a quilt in this book.

Here it is.

I cut a few patches to play with.

None of this is really working for me. Some days are like that.
Have a good one!
I finished quilting my Scrappy Stars quilt.

And Iām onto the binding.

I also picked up a small knitting project.

Just a dishcloth, but perfect to work on while watching TV with the mister. You can find the free pattern here.
