Thanks to all who entered my giveaway for the AccuQuilt GO! Me cutter! The giveaway closes this morning at 10 Central Time so you may still have a chance to enter. Check out yesterday’s post for details.
I started cutting some of my African fabrics into charms. I saw a fun quilt on Instagram using these.
It’s slow going, but I’ve made a few more tiny 9 patches. And yes, Terri, I may have been in the sun too long! 😂
I’m nearing the finish line for my temperature quilt!
Also, in case you don’t win the GO! Me cutter, AccuQuilt has all their die cutters on sale this month. No code needed.
One more thing, I’ve started a KatyQuilts Facebook page. You are welcome to follow and start a conversation there. I haven’t posted much yet, but I’d love to see what you all are making!
The AccuQuilt GO! Me might be small, but it can do big things!
And today, I get to give one away over on Instagram! Let me share a bit about this cutter and then I’ll share how you can enter to win.
It is just like the bigger AccuQuilt GO! Cutter, but in a smaller size.
It’s so easy, I use it with my grands!
This is what is included:
This small cutter has over 170 compatible dies.
Another cool thing? If you use it and love it, you can trade it in later for credit toward a bigger cutter.
Now for the details on winning this for yourself. This is an Instagram ONLY giveaway. You must follow me, @katyquilts , and @accuquilt on Instagram in order to qualify. Then just leave a comment on my Instagram post announcing the giveaway. I will contact the winner and AccuQuilt will send you your very own GO! Me starter set! That’s it! But the giveaway is only open for 24 hours, so don’t wait.
Please Note: The Instagram post will go live at 10 AM CST!
My leader/ender project has taken center stage. Can you see where I’m headed here?
I just can’t leave it alone! I could have made this much bigger, but my plan is to donate this to Project Linus. Now, I really need to go get something else done.
The mister and I visited this park in Glendale on Saturday. The ranch was built in the late 1800s by a man who brought his family out due to his son’s TB.
It is really beautiful.
And I found quilts!
This feathered star was stunning.
It’s so fun to explore out here. Have a great day!
The mister and I did this puzzle this week. It was a tough one, but so cool!
I found this Bernina at Goodwill. It was only the machine. I tried it out with the cord from my other Bernina. It stitches, but clearly something is wrong with it. I’ll play with it a bit more. It was only $16 so I’m not out much if I can’t get it working.
I’m not a Barbie person, never have been. But she was cute and cheap at a local sale.
We’ve been hiking a lot lately.
Love going with Daughter #2 and SIL.
Our neighbor gave us some citrus. Check out the size of that orange! So good!
Here is a look back at a post from March 2016. Enjoy!
It stopped raining just long enough to take a few pictures of my finished table runner the other day. I found it very difficult to get pictures showing the true color of the hand dyed fabrics I used. This first one is the closest to being true.
I used the Quick Curve Ruler and Metro Hoops pattern by Sew Kind of Wonderful.
I also used their QCR Curvit template for the machine quilting.
I used Glide Thread and Pellon 80/20 batting.
These pictures taken inside do not show the true colors but I love the way they show off the texture.
