Winslow and Willy enjoyed a beach day recently.

We enjoyed a wonderful fireworks display at the campground.

This just made me laugh. 😆

E3 just turned six! How did that even happen?

Have a great day!

Have a great day!
I quilted my little cheddar quilt and all seemed to go well up to this point.

After that I struggled with skipped stitches. I still don’t know why. Have I mentioned lately how much I miss my long arm, Friday?

It finally got done.

Here is my scrappy backing.

I see here that I still missed fixing a few places of skipped stitches.

Not my best work. I was planning to donate this to a local Habitat for Humanity quilt auction, but now I’m not so sure. I still love the idea and overall look, the execution, not so much.
Have a great day!
I just got this new die from AccuQuilt . It is this month’s “Die to Try” so it’s only available until August.

I see many opportunities with this one! But first I made a test block.

Yep, I rearranged the four quarters. I can’t leave anything alone! I decided to turn this block into a zippered pouch. Here it is!

You can see the tetrahedral shape in these next photos. Very fun and easy to do.

And just for fun, here is a video. 😊
Have a great day!

Yes, I started another new project. I fell in love with this antique quilt when I saw it on Instagram a while back.

I decided to see if I could come up with what I needed to make the blocks in this bin of vintage scraps.

This is the die I’m using.

And the cutting begins!

I don’t know the size of the original, but I’m guessing mine will be smaller. With all I have going on, the cutting may take a while.
Have a great day!
This is one of the kitted projects I brought to work on this summer.

The green bits are Kona, the prints are vintage.

I just have to decide how to set them. So many possibilities!

Have a great day!
I picked these up from the RV and brought them home.

I decided it was high time I moved this forward a bit.

Here’s hoping for a bit of progress this week in between house showings. We had six over the weekend and another scheduled for today. It’s hard to start anything because I don’t want to make messes.
Have a great day!
I finished quilting this little bit, but it was not without difficulty. I struggled with skipped stitches and I never did figure out why, ugh.

Now, I’m on to an easier part of the process, hand stitching the binding.

Also, this happened yesterday:

Have a great day!

When we bought this house, almost twenty-five years ago, we slept on the floor for the first few nights. Looks like we are ending our time here the same way.

We recently took the three Es to the zoo. The water lilies were stunning!

These two beautiful bald eagles were injured and can no longer fly. They have found a safe refuge at the zoo.

My silly Willy sleeps in the strangest positions!

This family of turkeys stopped by for a visit. Mom and Dad had 14 babies with them.

Have a great day!
We’ve so enjoyed camping with our boys this summer! Last time was E2 and E3’s turn.

I haven’t taken my sewing machine out to Dora yet, but I’m ready when I do!

I just finished this book. It was very interesting.

Oh, Winslow! It’s diet time for you!

And last, but not least, this happened this week.

Let the showings begin!
Have a great day!
This little improv piece is finally done….well, the top is done. This is another one for the To Be Quilted in Arizona pile.
In the mean time, which way is up?
1.

2.

3.

I debated adding a solid black border, but I think I’ll just bind it in black. It currently measures about 35 by 37 inches.

And this is all I had left.

I did a really wild and crazy thing and swept this small pile into the trash!
Have a great day!
