I’ve gotten a wee bit of sewing in. I’m so glad I kitted this up way back when.

I’ve decided to set them like this.

These vintage prints are so fun!

Have a great day!

I bet you never thought I’d do a post on plants! But, here you go. 😄
Daughter #3 bought this beautiful Prickly Pear for me a year or two ago. Now, it is nearly as tall as I am!

Daughter #1 got me this lovely cactus. From the skinny part up is all new growth from just this summer.

And this crazy thing we brought back from AZ two years ago because it was getting blossoms and we didn’t want to miss the flowers. It only had the single column then. Now it has pups all over it.

These are the mister’s dragon fruit plants.

And his plumeria.

I also have this little Hoya.

The question is, how in the heck do we get them back to AZ? 😳
These are tough decisions we will have to make this week. Ugh. What would you do?
Have a great day!
My hydrangeas are getting so pretty! Just in time for the new owners. I love that. 😊

This is exactly how I felt after our massive garage sale. 😂

There is so much truth to this…

We brought Dora back to the house to get her packed up. Winslow is ready to go!

I saw this recently and whether your children are toddlers or adults, it is so very true.

Have a great day!
It’s done! I positively love this little 9 patch!

The vintage fabrics are incredible. Take a look.

I’m not in love with the cheater print I used on the back, but it was what I had on hand.

It finished at approximately 30 inches square.

Sigh….I love this one so much. Have a great day!
This post is only three years old, but it felt appropriate to share it again, given that I’m working with this same shapes again. Enjoy!

I cannot tell you how much I love this little quilt!

I love new fabric, but there is something about a quilt made from clothing that brings it to a whole new level for me.

The binding bothers me less now that it is finished. I worried that I might not have added enough quilting.

But after washing, I think it was just right.

It has the perfect pucker factor.

I would love to wrap a new baby in this, but since that isn’t an option, I hung it up instead.

Have a great day!
We have sold most of our furniture, including my sewing desk. So now I have a folding table in the dining room.

We have another week here and I need some sewing therapy!
This is what I will be working on.

I think this will end up as a baby quilt.
Have a great day!
Have you heard about Fat Quarter Shop’s new sew along?

I’m going to be taking part. These are the fabrics, I’ve chosen to use. All the details will be up on the FQS blog this week.

I spent some time cutting the other night. That blue will be my background.

Do you like my tin? It was produced for the Sunshine Biscuit Company many years ago.

Have a great day!

I asked a while back about travel irons. I had a lot of people on Instagram recommending the Mini Oliso. They are a bit pricy, so I kept shopping. I picked this one up at Walmart for a bit over $13. It looks nearly identical to the one sold by Dritz at JoAnn’s for $35.

It was okay. It had some decent reviews. I never got the steam to work. I’m going to take this one back.
I looked at this one on Amazon and then it was on sale for Prime Day. I paid $20.

It’s a bit bigger and holds a bit more water. It pressed well with and without steam. I think this is a keeper.
I do have a regular size iron here that I like very much.

Mr. Wonderful picked this up for me. I think he paid about $55 for it. But I wanted something smaller for use in the RV.
I think this little Sunbeam will work well and it didn’t break the bank.
I mentioned that we have our RV, Dora, parked at a seasonal campsite. We’ve been enjoying a night out there now and again. Once we move out of this house, we will be staying out there full time until we head back to Arizona in the fall.
Have a great day!
Hand quilting has begun! These are the needles I like best for hand quilting.

So far, so good!

And I bought another thrifted shirt for the binding, so that’s all ready to go.

Have a great day!
Winslow loves hot, sunny days!

This is a lesson I’ve been learning this summer! Downsizing is not for wimps! Right, Lois?

Our dear SIL had a birthday mid July. He is a huge Detroit Lions fan, so we got him this for his birthday.

And this is what I think of all of my dear readers.

Have a great day!
