More Family Time

Daughter #3 and SIL came for a visit.

Along with Daughter #1 and her fam.

Sadly, it was our last get together before we headed west. Games were played.

I even caught a couple fish!

The mister did as well.

Great memories were made though only a few photos were taken. I love my family!

Have a great day!

This and That

My daughters had this puzzle made for me many years ago. It’s only about 250 pieces so I brought it to do in Dora. The photo is from a quilt I made long ago. I don’t have room for puzzles bigger than this.

I’ve been enjoying these Madelines with my morning coffee. They came from Sam’s Club. They are the best I’ve had since we lived in France.

As a bonus, the container is the perfect size for these finished blocks!

Have a great day!

Finish It Up Friday ~ Flying Fish

I had this little top in my To Be Quilted in AZ pile. But then I decided it wasn’t all that precious, so I might as well quilt it on the machine I have with me.

This is not even close to a professional job, but it is finished. So there’s that.

I had a chunk of this Denyse Schmidt print for the back and the binding was leftover from something else.

I love this rustic bridge in the campground.

A good wash gave it a nice crinkle.

Have a great day!

Lucy

Remember that old song, Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds? That’s what was going through my head while stitching this. I cut white half rectangles and stitched them up.

And these are my blocks. They will finish at 2 1/2” by 5”.

I haven’t decided how to set these yet, but I do like them!

Have a great day!

A Little Something New

Remember these leftover bits?

I had the perfect die in my 5” Qube to use with them.

Ta daaa!

This little AccuQuilt GO! Me die cutter is perfect for use in Dora.

Stay tuned….

Have a great day!

Woven Star QAL

I thought I’d make a couple of these blocks every day. It hasn’t worked out that way. In an effort to make some progress, I decided I would do ten this time.

I’d kind of forgotten how messy paper foundation piecing can be.

But I sure do love these blocks!

Have a great day!

September Wrap-Up

No real finishes this month, but I’ve got tops!

And I have blocks! So glad these are done.

And I made serious progress on my tiny 9 patches top.

All in all, not a bad month.

Have a great day!

Slow Stitching Sunday

I decided to go ahead and hand quilt this little doll quilt. Jean was right, it was begging for it!

I’m starting by just stitching in the ditch.

Then I stitched in between those rows.

Now I’m trying to decide if I should add more. It’s a one inch grid now, should I go to a half inch grid? Hmmmm….

It’s very relaxing. I hope I can find enough of something for a binding.

Have a great day!

This and That

We are getting some foggy mornings at the camp lately.

Mr. Wonderful is into Dad jokes. I sent him these.

This would be a horror flick for Winslow and Willy!

A bit of wisdom.

Have a great day!

Finish It Up Friday ~ African Charms

Another finished top. This will be donated to Project Linus when it is completed.

I’m trying to figure out places to take photos at the campground.

I’ve wanted to make this simple quilt for ages, but I’m underwhelmed with it. I think I’ll like it better when it is quilted.

Have a great day!
