Where have I been?

Missing in action, that’s where! No, we haven’t moved again. We did travel to Missouri over Christmas to help my sweet mother in love move to Kansas though.

Isn’t she just the most adorable? And she is every bit as sweet as she looks.

I am quite honored that she wanted a quilt I made for her on her bed.

This is the view from my sister in laws kitchen. The sunsets are incredible, the hospitality is even better. She is such a treasure to me.

The mister and I took in a wonderful antique shop while we were there. These quilts were gorgeous, but nothing came home with me.

We got in from the airport very early morning New Years Eve. Mr. Wonderful was surprised to find our sneaky kids decorated for him!

And here are the culprits with two of their five fur babies.

They are the best!

Now we are packing up Christmas stuff and trying to get into this new year. Have a great day!

This made me smile.

Finish It Up Monday ~ Scrappy Leader/Ender

My last finish for 2025.

This quilt finished up at 63 by 72 inches. It really is a perfect leader/ender project.

I used the same light blue backing that I used on my Second Summit quilt.

I used a light blue thread for quilting.

And now it’s ready for gifting.

Have a great day!

QV Mystery

I have Part 4 all done for the Quiltville Mystery.

And I cut out the pieces for Part 5.

I managed to get one block assembled for that clue.

As a reminder, I’m only making half of the number of recommended blocks.

Have a great day!

Finish It Up Friday ~ Second Summit

I’ve decided to call this four patch quilt, Second Summit. You may recall the little Summit Stitches quilt I recently finished from Lori’s Humble Quilts QAL. You can check it out here.

That little quilt finished at 34” square. This one finished at 69” square. I did the borders differently on this one. I had just enough of this toile I purchased in France years ago for the corners.

I rushed the binding. At some point, I will redo it by hand.

The backing is actually a light blue.

I used my new cross hatch groovy boards for the quilting and I’m quite pleased! The quality is good and it was easier to line up the rows than I expected.

I can live with this.

And here it is! I just might have to keep this one.

And just for fun…..

Summit Stitches and Second Summit shown together.

These four patches were all made leader/ender fashion. This is my fave finish since my last favorite. 😂

Have a great day!
