I’m still feeling the summer sewing slump. Getting sick didn’t help. I thought I’d inventory my UFOs in hopes of finding my lost sewjo.

This has languished,. Not having a deadline or decision on size hasn’t helped.

I love these blocks, but I’m stymied on the setting.

I made one of these Cleopatra’s Fan blocks and then stopped. I don’t know why.

Ah, remember these? There doesn’t seem to be enough blocks, but I don’t feel like making more.

Started this at least a year ago. I don’t remember where I was headed.

I think the bow ties are the most appealing project for me here. I guess I’ll sew those until I run out of bits.

…..comes in the most unlikely places. I rode down to Flint with Mr. Wonderful , yeah, THAT Flint, and saw this.

He indulged me in a second trip around the block to get a better shot.

I have dies for that!

I substituted red for the orange. The orange I had on hand was too close in value to my yellow.

Not perfect, but fun!

Not sure where it will go from here. Maybe no where. But it was fun.

My Grandmother’s Flower Garden is done! I bought the vintage flower blocks many years ago and began piecing them together. There was a period of at least ten years when they never saw the light of day.

But this year I decided it would get done. I started hand quilting this August 11th of this year and have just now finished.

I had a hard time talking myself into quilting it like this because I knew it would take forever. It sure felt like it!

But I’m so glad I went for it! I used unbleached muslin on the back.

The binding is from a feedsack that had been dyed yellow.

It’s too small for this bed, but I love layering quilts.

Ah! That texture!

When I shared this last, I had just this one block sewn.

I wasn’t thrilled with the colors and threw a few more bits up on the wall.

Nope. Nope. Nope.

I opened up another FQ bundle that had more colors and took apart the one block I had done.

That’s better. It definitely needed more color.

Now it feels like I’m heading in the right direction!

Temecula Quilt Company is having a little Scrap Basket Sew Along. You can find the first post about it here. The blocks finish at 2 1/2” and I have the perfect dies for that in my AccuQuilt 5” Qube. So I decided to play along.

This is the die I used for the first step.

Sure didn’t take long to whip these up.

She is making hers potholder style. Not me.

I think the second step just came out so there is still time to jump in.

I have a couple of these FQ bundles and finally decided what to do with them.

I’m using these dies. They work in my Studio Cutter, but you could also use the 12” Qube and 12” Qube Angles Companion Qube.

There are so many ways to use these bits!

I am pretty sure I’m going to make blocks like this. I’m not as sure about the layout of the colors though.

I’ll figure it out. 😊

The mister and I took our bikes to the next town for ice cream and mini golf last weekend. Might have to do it again today!

Our hydrangeas are just gorgeous this year.

These hooligans spent a couple days here last week. We had fun doing crafty things.
