Cheddar is Better!

I decided to change out some of the quilts in the house. I was in the mood for a bit of cheddar.

The late afternoon light gives some funky shadows on that one above!

Clearly the next one is not cheddar, but it does have falling leaves.

I have a lot more to do, but changing out the quilts does motivate one to do some cleaning. so I guess that’s a win-win!

Have a great day!

Antiques Show Quilts Part 2

I really wanted to buy this quilt. It might be the one that haunts me.

It was tied, but n amazing condition. Check out that flag!

So much to look at!

That neon backing was incredible.

And check out that whisker guard! That black edging is piping!

Yep, I should have bought it.

Here are some others I saw.

Had to take a picture of this. I had this when I was little! It was part of a three piece set and one of my favorite gifts ever. I’m sure I wore mine out. It had the exact same print/colors on the outside.

Have a great day!

Slow Stitching Sunday

I made some progress last weekend, even though I didn’t stitch at all on the way home.

I hate when I have more than one row to press at a time. I had forgotten that.

But I do love this and the stitching is easy. I did cut some more scraps to add some newer bits to the mix.

Before I go, I wanted to let you know about this great deal from Connecting Threads .

Also, these great deals from AccuQuilt .

Have a great day!

Finish It Up Friday ~ Doll Quilts

My doll quilts are done! I had so much fun making them.

Definitely not works of art, but I hope they are enjoyed by the children that will receive them.

And Sweet Willy Boy wanted to get in on things.

Have a great day!

A New Old Quilt

Mr. Wonderful spied this beauty at an antique fest last weekend and it had to come home with me!

The prints are adorable. Love the diagonal strings of HSTs.

Want to see the back?

Yep! It’s the same on front and back! App, each little piece was made and quilted and then they were all whip stitched together. It reminds me of this quilt that Ila sent to me.

I find it curious that a binding was added. I’m sure it helped strengthen the edge.

And it is living here, in the guest room where one could never be too cold. Lol!

Before I go, AccuQuilt has some great Labor Day sales going on! They have reduced prices on Overstocks even further. Yes, I placed an order all ready. 😊

Check out these deals!

Have a great day!

August Wrap-Up

I finished quite a few things this month. Starting with this hand quilted vintage top.

I was glad to get this off my list. It’s huge.

This Quilt of Valor was a quick and easy finish.

Here’s my monthly mini!

And Hattie’s Choice is also complete.

This Twinkling Star quilt was finished some months ago, but the die and my pattern were released by AccuQuilt this month.

Have a great day!

This and That

I’ve been nibbling away at this project. I’m still making rows.

I pulled out a puzzle this week.

This is my favorite brand. I picked up several this summer at a sale for a dollar each.

The mister and I went to this fun diner last weekend. The burgers were served on pretzel buns and they had hand cut fries. Delicious!

I rarely post videos, but I thought I’d share a little snippet of machine quilting my Hattie’s Choice quilt.

Have a great day!

TQC Update

I simplified the step for this part of the quilt along. I used these dies.

They create a square in a square block. The directions called for economy blocks.

They were a lot quicker to make!

And here we are!

Have a great day!
