I nearly forgot my December wrap-up post! Here are my finishes for the month.

Have a great day!
I nearly forgot my December wrap-up post! Here are my finishes for the month.

Have a great day!
The first Monday of the new year and I’m spending it in the sewing room. Hooray!
A friend got tired of working on her postage stamp quilt and she sent the blocks to me.

She included these in case I wanted to use them as alternate blocks.

I am starting to think about settings for these.

They will likely hang out on the design wall this week where I can ponder possibilities.
Have a great day!
Happy New Year! I decided since it is Sunday, I would share some slow stitched quilts from this past year. These are all hand quilted. Enjoy!

I had a few more small hand quilted finishes, but they will be included in my posts about minis.
Before I go, I wanted to thank all of my wonderful friends that read and comment here. I’ve been terrible about responding lately, but hubby heads back to Michigan today so I hope to get back on track in the New Year.
I hope you have a beautiful start to your new year!
As part of my year end review, I decided to make a post showing all the quilts that I have patterned for AccuQuilt this year. There were more than I realized!

All of these are free patterns and can be found at the AccuQuilt site by clicking here and then going to the Patterns tab.
Have a great day!

I have done very little actual sewing this month, but I managed to get Carl finished……I think. Let me explain.

I mentioned before that I struggled with the quilting on this. The quilting in the three green center columns all ended up slightly different.

I used the Gothic Arch quilting in the border. But it wasn’t quilted as densely as the center. I hate this. The picture below shows it after washing and it isn’t any better.

Here is the back.

I’m seriously considering cutting off the binding, adding more border quilting, and rebinding it.

For now, Carl is in timeout.
Have a great day!
I have a new grand dog! See that cute little wiener dog? His name is Milo and he’s setting in nicely with his big sisters, Bambi and Winnie.

Gosh, he’s cute!

Hubby and I love looking at plants out here. The fuzziest cacti are usually the most dangerous!

Love the burgundy and sage green color combo.

Here is one of our recent puzzle finishes.

And in case you ever wondered, you can really pack a lot in a Mini Cooper Clubman! This is a vintage area rug that measures 10 by 14!

Looks great in our family room!

Have a great day!
It’s about that time! Time to review my makes over the last year. I’m sad to say, I didn’t do any longarming for the Stitching Sisters this year. The traveling I’ve done this year has meant something had to give. I did complete four Quilts of Valor start to finish though.

Have a great day!
Having two sewing rooms seems to mean twice the UFOs!
1. This is the infamous Aunt Martha kit. I think I have two big diamonds pieced.

2. The Heather Bailey blocks started last spring.

3. The elephant in the sewing room…🤦🏻♀️

4. I want to take this apart, remove the poly batting, and hand quilt it.

5. I got this taken apart. It really is time I put it back together.

6. And I did bring this with me.

There are probably more I haven’t found yet. I guess you could say I have my work cut out for me……
Have a great day!
I hope you all had an amazing Christmas!
I doubt I’ll finish anything off this list this week, so I decided to share my UFOs. This is the Michigan list. Tomorrow I’ll share the Arizona list.
1. Denise Schmidt Bow Ties. No, I didn’t bring them with me.

2. Scrappy Strips

3. Trip Around the World.

4. I don’t even know what to call this….Jelly Roll Disaster? It’s very boring so far.

5. Yep, this is a finish….but this quilt lives at AccuQuilt HQ. I have pieces cut to make one for myself.

6. I made one of these Cleopatras Fan blocks and quit. It’s such a cool block, I need to get back to it.

7. I started this postcard quilt last winter. I didn’t get far before setting it aside as well.

8. This is a UFO I purchased at a sale. I’d like to finish it into a Quilt of Valor.

9. Speaking of QOVs, I have all these pieces cut from scraps and should do something with them.

10. I bought this amazing quilt top last summer. It deserves to be hand quilted.

I think that’s it. Not really….tomorrow I will share the Arizona UFOs!
Have a great day!
