Mr. Wonderful and I finally got outside! First, we went up north of Cave Creek and went looking for Jasper. This was one of the roads to the rock hunting area. Not bad, just a bit rocky.

Oscar was totally up for it.

We met with success! I now have lots of beautiful jasper to play with.

We saw lots of flowers thanks to the recent monsoon rains.

Next we headed south a bit.

We visited some Hohokam ruins. It was a bit of a hike, but well worth it.

I do not know how this huge, heavy cactus hangs into the side of this boulder!

The scenery was incredible.
