Our newest grandson made his appearance early Tuesday morning!
We are absolutely smitten with him. ❤️

Daughter #2 has three dachshunds and baby’s room has a puppy theme. Here are two of the three.
I was asked if I quilted the background before adding the appliqué and the answer is yes.
I was on the fence about using this giant gingham for the binding, but I like it.

And, thank you for the recommendation of the fabric/notions store, back in Feb(?) (35th Ave). My 3 y.o. grandaug loved the assortment of wearable butterfly wings that I found there. We changed to a different color pair every few minutes. (I haven’t gotten around to making surprise tuttus, or poodle skirts yet.)
That store is a treasure trove esp for notions.
