I’ve had this vintage quilt pinned on Pinterest for ages. The image went to a dead link so I don’t know the source.
When I found some leftover diamonds, I wondered if I could come up with a similar effect on a much smaller scale.
Hmmm…. It needs some tweaking.

Hello Katy, I have been quilting for multiple years, have an Accuquilt cutter with the basics dies and also have multiple Omnigrid rulers which together have met my needs. When squaring up half square triangles, I line up the diagonal 45 degree line of the ruler with my seam and trim. Last night a speaker at my guild was singing the praises of the Bloc-Loc rulers. She was not selling them. My vision is not as good as it used to be but I am still holding my own. Are these Bloc Loc rulers worth their high price? Mothers Day is coming up and I could drop a hint or 2 if you think they are worth it but which one should I ask for? I do both modern and traditional quilts and bristle at those who describe quilting as an “industry”. Many thanks for your advice. Sincerely, Deb from Philadelphia PA
