This is not my usual sewing set up. That little black furball you see in the background below, caused me to move to the kitchen table.

Have I mentioned how much I love this Essential Thread from Connecting Threads ? They have really improved it since I first started buying it many years ago. It is finer, smoother, less linty, and I haven’t had it break on me yet. Better yet, it’s on sale 25% off through tomorrow!

I also picked up this little Oliso iron for travel sewing. Did you know these are available through AccuQuilt ?

You need these pieces for one block for this quilt.

I’m making this top with half blocks. You will see why soon.

Have a great day!

I haven’t tried it on my long arm either yet. But I love it for piecing!
wow fabrics for sure….my vintage singer doesn’t like the essential….it whines a bit…but quiet when aurifil is threaded…weird…
Thanks for the info on the thread. I ordered some when you first mentioned it and it arrived on Saturday. I’ve tried it for piecing and it’s working nicely :). I haven’t tried it on Sophie, my longarm, yet and she’s very picky with Aurifil being her thread of choice so my fingers are crossed!
