And it’s all in one piece!

There are 225 1 1/2” nine patches. Which is far short of the number of blocks in the challenge quilt.

This shows all the pieces I had left, mostly dark pieces. And I don’t have the stash or interest in cutting more without the die handy.

So I made as many as I could with what I had and decided to call it good enough.

The challenge quilt has borders which I may or may not add. But it won’t happen any time soon. This top currently measures 33 inches square. Here is a look at the vintage inspiration quilt.

It’s truly amazing! I do love those borders. I’ll think about it….later.
Have a great day!

It’s wonderful! Nine patch quilts are my favorite.
BEAUTIFUL such precise sewing. I prefer working with a little bit bigger pieces.
Remarkable! A treasure.
Beautiful job!
Go you! Done is always good! And inspiring. I am within a dozen tiny (hand-pieced) nine patches of having enough for the top. Phew! Then it will be on to cutting and piecing the alternating blocks – think I might need to get a new die for my die cutter – and then the borders. Such a fun project and since the pieces are so tiny they go anywhere to be worked on in spare moments.
Love it!!
Your nine patches are so impressive. The inspiration quilt is amazing. For some reason I thought you were going to replicate the quilt you showed us from your MIL. That quilt made me sigh. I saved the picture.
What a lovely quilt top. I definitely do not have the patience for those little blocks!
i would say it is way more than good enough….very very nice
