Welcome QAL

This is where I was when you saw this last.

I’ve left this up on the design wall trying to decide where to go from here. I started thinking about using alternate blocks.

Maybe a plain border, instead of the pieced one in the original.

Blue?

Maybe this?

Thinking, thinking, thinking….

Have a great day!

Nov 8 you played in your string bucket. Cut the string panels into quarter sq triangles, long side horzontal, make “hourglass” blocks as your alternate block, a la Bonnie Hunter. Just my thought. Fold some string units into the shape, audition them with these blocks to see if you like the idea. 🙂

I’m certainly no artist but I think the blocks need a sashing or some other kind of break in between in order to showcase the individual blocks ~ perhaps a maroon. I like the blue for a border.

I looked at this a thought narrow sashing and first border in a black, dark brown, deep blue or deep red that reads solid and finish it off with a border in one of the other options. You could even use a lighter outer border. Cute quilt.

  6. I like the blue myself.
