Michigan UFOs

I’m still feeling the summer sewing slump. Getting sick didn’t help. I thought I’d inventory my UFOs in hopes of finding my lost sewjo.

This has languished,. Not having a deadline or decision on size hasn’t helped.

I love these blocks, but I’m stymied on the setting.

I made one of these Cleopatra’s Fan blocks and then stopped. I don’t know why.

Ah, remember these? There doesn’t seem to be enough blocks, but I don’t feel like making more.

Started this at least a year ago. I don’t remember where I was headed.

I think the bow ties are the most appealing project for me here. I guess I’ll sew those until I run out of bits.

Have a great day!

How large are the applique blocks?

Perhaps instead of making more, you could sash them (perhaps in red or green), use yellow for the cornerstones, see how large the area is, and then add a border (or three).

I’m going through a summer sewing slump too. I feel much better knowing I’m not alone. Well, at least I’m in good company. Meanwhile, we soldier on.

If it was me I would start something totally new – and anyone looking around here would be able to guess that!

    Wow, they’re all so appealing!
UFO #2 just needs some narrow (stripes or tiny polka dots) sashing with solid color cornerstones….be still my heart, ha!
Seriously, your sewjo will return ,this is a temporary rest period- so rest a bit.
    Hugs to you!

Katy: Those small single blocks would make great little quilts for dolls. Currently I’m making doll quilts for our Christmas Child boxes at church and the kids love them.

With all you have been doing, how can you say you have no mojo? You accomplish more with out it than most do with it. Right now other priorities are foremost, enjoying those little people, enjoying time with your main man. Your creative spark is still well and alive. You just need a WOW project. Your primitive will start talking to you when you see a completed quilt to inspire you again. And remember, listen to you body and rest when it needs it. And heal. We have confidence in your energy and exuberance. Just believe.🍓❤️🍓
