Slow Stitching?

I know, I shouldn’t be doing this….but I can’t get this lovely top off my mind. So I decided to baste it for hand quilting.

If you are basting a vintage quilt on a long arm, this glide foot is a game changer.

I’m using this vintage duvet cover for the backing.

My thought is to use the small Baptist Fan stencil. One fan fits in my 14” hoop. Can I limit myself to one fan per day?

I’m considering using this perle cotton and a big stitch.

It has the feel of a utility quilt, so it might work.

Have a great day!

Can’t blame you for wanting to start the hand quilting on this lovely top. I’m a big fan of these blocks. Make yourself a commitment to hand stitch no more than one fan per session. It’s going to be wonderful.
