Vintage Kits

I picked up a couple vintage quilt kits at a sale recently.

The first one has been started.

You can see that some of the pieces still have rusty pins in them! Yikes!

The work that has been done, is lovely.

Here is the second kit. It appears complete and has not been started.

I love those colors!

Both kits have that stored, musty smell. I’m not sure what I will do with them since this is more hand work than I can handle. But I just couldn’t leave them behind.

Have a great day!

  1. Place in ziplock bag with a bar of Irish Spring soap to remove smell.

That poppy quilt is one of my favorite kit quilts! What a fantastic find! I love the blocks that you’re making with the FQs from Goodwill as well!
