My Little Red Basket quilt is done. I’m chuffed to bits with it!

I quilted all the lines in one direction, removed the quilt from the frame, turned it 90 degrees and reloaded it. Then I quilted all the lines in the other direction.

Basically, you are quilting the whole thing twice and it’s a fair amount of work, but it’s worth it. You can see I used a very old print on the back.


The various whites I used in the background show up more in real life.

It’s a simple, humble, little quilt and it just screams SUMMER to me.

The first thought that popped into my head when I saw this little beauty was “summer!” – it’s perfect! I love the backing fabric, too!
