I knew this would make a great border, but I just could not come up with an idea for the center.

So I decided to try a strippie setting.

Nope. That didn’t work. Maybe this….

Better, but the proportions are too far off and I don’t have any more the that print.

Nope, nope, nope…

Better, not great…..my seam ripper is becoming a good friend….
I’m about to give up on this mess!
Have a great day!
Don’t give up! You’re “this close”!
The border, for some reason, makes me think of floors in old Greek buildings. I love that you used red and green together. I also like Dotti’s idea of a special center and using the red and white blocks as a border, but you’ll know best what to do. Do you know the company who made the solid green fabric and the name of the color? It reminds me of the green so common in the 1940s and 1950s.
The border reminds me of a fence. I agree with Dotti, flower blocks, flower applique, baskets. Dotti and I were certainly on the same wavelength even down to thoughts of a panel.
That border needs an appliqué center. Basket with flowers some pieced basket blocks, even part of a panel. It is too nice to just put strips of fabric. Of course that is my opinion, you’ll come up with something amazing for inside.
