As I was getting ready to button up the sewing room to head back to Michigan, I came across a few orphan blocks.
They sparked an idea and I quilted them up!
I cut some hearts out of freezing paper and ironed them down on my quilted bits.
Then I used pinking shears to cut out hearts. I really need to buy a heat shaped AccuQuilt die before I do any more of these. I ended up with blisters. Ugh.
I ended up with quite a few!
These could easily be made into tree ornaments, fridge magnets , or garland.
I decided to use them to share a bit of love on the way back to Michigan. Click here for more info.
Before I go, I’ve been having a terrible time with my blog reader, Bloglovin’ the last few weeks. If you have too, you can always click on the link in the sidebar to follow my blog by e-mail. Personally, I’m trying out Feedly to keep up with the blogs I love.
Have a great day!
What a great idea to make the hearts! I have been having trouble with bloglovin as well although it has been working the last few days. I am trying out feedly too.
Did you leave your quilted hearts around the airport? It’s a lovely idea!
Love the I found a heart program. My small quilting bee did this program. Such fun to share. Loved your idea.
Thank you for sharing the idea of making the little hearts! I love that. Hugs,
I’m hoping Bloglovin is upgrading to a larger server and these are just the problems that come with the move.
What a great idea! I had never heard of this before. As soon as I can get some other things taken care of, I might do this myself. Thanks for the link.
I’ve had a terrible time with Bloglovin lately too, it seems to be working again now, but I’m going to investigate Feedly also, I’m hearing good things about it.
Love the hearts you made, what a great idea!
Hope you have a great weekend
I don’t know what’s up with Bloglovin, but it is a mess these days!
Yea! That’s exactly what I do with my orphan blocks!
Bloglovin has been a PITA lately, it isn’t just you!
