Finish It Up Friday

My challenge quilt is done.

I’m not thrilled with the quilting. Red or black thread would have been better, but I used what I had on hand.

I do love the backing fabric. I used a facing instead of a binding for this one.

It ended up about 30 inches square. I learned a lot making this. I might just do it again!

Have a great day!

Terrific rendition of the inspiration quilt!

  7. This is really a stunning little quilt! From farther away and up close too.

  8. The faced binding works really well, and is hardly visible on that background fabric. I think the thread is fine. I had the same issue when I finished my last quilt with the bold primary colors; which thread color to use? It all worked out and from a distance, isn’t visible.

    Hi Katy,

WOW!!! I wasn’t sure about this when you started but I really like it. You are an amazing prolific quilter. I saw your post for the quilts from last month and Cannot believe how many you can accomplish. Even with my Accuquilt, I can barely get thru one a month.

Thank you for all your inspiration!

I love looking at your work.

    Maria
