Slow Stitching Sunday

I finally started quilting this vintage top!

Of course, I’m using Baptist Fans.

And muslin on the back.

I have a bunch of this perle cotton, so I decided to use it for the quilting. After doing a couple fans, I’ve realized I’ll probably run out. That’s okay. It’s a make do kind of quilt.

Let’s see if I can finish this before heading back to Michigan for the summer.

Have a great day!

I remember using pearl cotton to hand quilt a wall hanging, mine was a heavy pearl, I hope yours is the finer weight. It sure wore out my hands.

The perle cotton and Baptist Fans add the perfect touch of elegance for this utilitarian quilt.

love that you are quilting with perle cotton and using a regular quilt stitch. which brand and size of perle cotton are you using? adding another color of perle cotton (if you run out) will go perfectly with this quilt. patti in florida

I love the way you bring new life to old quilts. What size needle do you use with perle cotton?
