Slow Stitching Sunday

Finally! I think I’m finally ready start hand quilting this top.

I bought it for a song in AZ last winter. You can read about it here. It needed a few repairs so I decided to remove one row that had a torn block. This allowed me to use fabric from that row to repair other spots.

In the photo below, my patch job is obvious. The green fabric faded and didn’t match very well from the center to the edges. I also appliqued one of the blocks over a four patch that had holes all through it. Not perfect repairs, but now part of the history of the piece.

It’s very much a utility sort of quilt, so I want the quilting to reflect that.

Before I go, I wanted to let you know about this great sale on Accuquilt Studio dies!

This is the lowest price I’ve seen for these so click here if you need dies for your studio cutter.

Have a great day!
