More Purple

I really need to come up with a name for this! I finished all my blocks.

I thought I would add sashing and cornerstones.

But decided to go with alternate plain blocks. I wish I had a bolt of this gray fabric. It’s so useful!

Stay tuned.

From Janet O. Comment we could take it further to “Mourning Has Broken” for the name of the quilt.

This is really talking to me. Love everything about it. As to a name, what comes to mind is not something you would want to assign to such a pretty little quilt, but the colors make me thing of the mourning prints of a century or so ago. But who would want a quilt named “Mourning”??

The alternating grey blocks are perfect! And I’m admiring your square in a square blocks. I was trying to make some last week and they just wouldn’t come out square.

wow, i was going to say i really really like the first layout of just the blocks. got to the end and i do like the alternate blocks – probably better than sashing and corner stones. your quilt – your choice. you do great work. and you’re speedy. patti in florida

  8. Such a pretty quilt, Katy! Do you have any info on that gray fabric so you can get more?

Love the alternating gray blocks. The pattern gives texture without distracting from the square in a squares. Can’t wait to see it finished.
