It’s getting closer to a finish! I thought I’d share a bit about how I decided on the quilting for this.

I use a free app called YouDoodle. Mr. Wonderful bought me an Apple Pencil for my birthday that I can use to draw on my iPad, but before that, I just drew with my finger using this app. It allows me to draw on top of photos.

So, I just pulled up a photo of the top and started doodling. I erased the designs I didn’t like and replaced with other ideas as I went. I took many screenshots along the way. Here are just a few.

I liked the ones that had partially hidden motifs the best.

Here we go!

So far, so good! Have a great day!
A few years ago we went to a quilt show that had lots of demonstrations around the edges. I had taught hubby quite a bit about quilt making and he had made one for his brother by then. At teh show he sat in a class with a bunch of women and when teacher asked if they knew what a — block was he surprised them my knowing these different blocks. Then they were loaned a large piece of plexiglass and a dry erase marker and told to create machine quilting designs for the 9-patch drawn on the other side. He came home from that so very impressed and bought a large piece of plexiglass to play with, I bought him some dry erase markers. Same idea as what you are doing with the computer thingy.
Beautiful and amazing ideas and skill. Thanks for sharing.
