Slow Stitching Sunday

All of my slow stitching lately, has been focused on the Ladies Aid BOM, hosted by Barbara Brackman. I’m now caught up and waiting for the next block to be released on August 1st. Here is block three.

I really struggled with those tight inside curves and points. Block 4 went a little better.

I wish I had left off that strip of ground though. Here are all four together.

The pattern has little hearts in the corner of each block to creat a secondary design. I’ve never been big on hearts, but I like the idea of the secondary design. I’m thinking about adding leaves in the corners.

Have a great day!

I think leaves in the corners would work well – I’m not a hearts over everything gal either!

Your appliqué looks wonderful! You are doing great keeping up. I’m saving the patterns to do later. Hugs,

The stripe under the horse would be easy to remove. The horse hooves would stay “bent” so once you removed the strip you would just resew down the hooves. Maybe spray starch the hooves to make them keep their shape.
