Amelia’s Rooster Progress

This quilt is a fun mix of traditional and improv. Amelia made things work. Thanks to a few math errors on my part, I’m doing the same. The next round of blocks were added.

But I was really bothered by that area in the upper right. It seemed to really draw my eye away from the center. So I did a bit of ripping and fixed that.

Much better.

I have pieces cut for the next round.

More square in a square blocks. The one thing I don’t like when working on a project like this, is the mess.

Yikes! I will have a lot of refolding to do.

I’m also trying to figure out how big I want to make my version. Right now, it is 34 inches square. After the next round, it will be 42. Do I want a wall quilt or a bed quilt? I really don’t know. I guess I’ll decide after each round if I’m done or not.

Have a great day!
