I mentioned the sale I went to last weekend. Here are a couple other things I picked up. I’m not sure of the name of this lock, but I really love it. It doesn’t lay quite flat. I hope to hand quilt this.
It is machine pieced. The blocks are about 14 inches.
Isn’t this a beauty?
This one will need a bit of persuasion to get it to lie flat enough to quilt.
And it will need a number of replacement squares.
This one was all hand pieced.
I’m sure it will take me a while to track down appropriate scraps and repair this, but eventually, I would like to hand quilt this as well.
Have a great day!
I have made that block in the first quilt several times and didn’t know the name either. I looked it up in Barbara Brackman’s Encyclopedia of Pieced Quilt Patterns and the only name for it is The Colorado Quilt with a source of KC Star 1941.
You find so many great quilts! Have fun!
I love working on vintage projects and bringing them back to life. So satisfying!
These are beautiful. You are one lucky gal.
