Hiking at Lake Pleasant

We went hiking with Daughter #2 yesterday. Lake Pleasant is a lake, north of Phoenix, that was created by dams built in the 1920s. It is a beautiful park! Here are some f my photos. I’m still working at learning my DSLR.

I’m just enthralled with the saguaros here. The one just above was well over 25 feet tall. They are huge and old. Oh, the stories they could tell!

Have a good one!

I love the photo of Mr. Wonderful hugging and kissing you. It shows your deep affection and love for each other. Just perfect.

We have been to this park too! Beautiful place and I am too enthralled with those crazy big cactus……there is something about them…..maybe because they are ancient. I don’t know but they are cool. I have always had a dream of living in AZ during the winter months, I am not sure that is in the cards for us. But I so enjoy seeing your pictures from there. We have friends we visit there usually every winter, but we didn’t get to go this winter……so I am especially missing Phoenix right now. And I am working on a photography exercise to learn my DSLR too! I think we are kindred spirits! Sheri from Iowa

The cactus are so cool! I’m like you – I love to quilt and to hike. You might be interested in my post from a couple of year’s ago from my visit to Phoenix: https://thegardenofneedles.blogspot.com/2019/12/phoenix-arizona.html
