I got my little top together and basted it for hand quilting. I do not recommend basting with straight pins, but I failed to bring any safety pins and couldn’t be bothered to go buy any.
So I started by quilting straight lines through the blocks with pins so I could remove them ASAP. Now I’m adding more quilting.
I’m not sure you can see it here on the back, but I’m quilting a hanging diamonds pattern.
Next up will be scrounging up some binding. Have a great day!
I’m really liking this little quilt, Katy. Hm … I wonder if one could glue baste with a few drops of Roxanne’s. I’ll have to try it.
Back when I used to hand quilt (I need to take it up again), I used to hand baste my little quilts with a long basting stitch. I’d use a bright colored thread so I could see it well when I needed to remove it.
