Blue Collar Diamonds

I decided to name this quilt, Blue Collar Diamonds. It is another made from shirts belonging to the men of my family. I’m not sure exactly what the solid is, I had it in my stash. I wanted something more orange, but now that it’s together, I’m quite happy with it.

Thus was inspired by a vintage quilt owned by Barbara Brackman and featured in the book, Sisterhood of Scraps.

It finished at about 30 by 40 inches.

In case you are interested, here is how I pressed my seams. Everything nested beautifully.

This came together so quickly. I can’t wait to quilt it! Have a great day!

  1. I really like this! Reminds me of a quilt that my mom used to have – made of men’s wool suitings (It could have used a few punches of gold!)
