Slow Stitching Sunday ~ Itty Bitty Bow Ties

I enjoyed sitting outside hand quilting this last Sunday. But it soon became clear that this wasn’t enough quilting.

So I had to sacrifice another afternoon to quilt outside. Winslow helped.

It’s much better now. It’s twin is pieced, but not yet quilted.

All that is left for this one is the hand stitching on the binding.

I guess I’ll have to sit outside again! Have a great day!

About katyquilts

I am a wife, mom of four amazing kids, and a librarian. I have been making traditional quilts for ages but have ventured into art qulting in the last several years. I also love to knit socks and mittens and dye my own fabric. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!

4:00 in the afternoon and it finally quit snowing here in SE Nebraska. Is at -8 right now. Sew, no outside quilting today or for a long while!!! We have a lot of snow and it’s not going to get warm enough to melt it for a while yet! Enjoy the warmth! HUGS… and stitches

I feel so bad that you have to sit outside in the sun and warm weather. It’s so cold and snowy here that I wish we were there with you. Happy quilting and happy valentines day.

Sitting outside to quilt. Love the idea, but we have layers of ice over layers of snow and temps are 31°F. Send heat!

Sitting outside quilting? You picked a great winter to be in Arizona!

  5. Enjoy that sunshine! It is -18 here this morning (feels like -36)!
