Hand Quilted Quilts 2020

At the end of every year, I like to look back at the quilts I’ve finished. I do this over several posts. This is the first post taking stock of the hand quilting I’ve done.

I only hand quilted three big quilts last year, but this first one required a lot of hand piecing as well, so I’m happy with that. I started piecing these vintage GFG blocks together at least 25 years ago so it is a particularly sweet finish.

This top was purchased at a local antique mall. I finished it with a pastel variegated crochet thread with a big stitch. I love how it turned out!

This last one was a Facebook Marketplace find. The top had been minimally quilted at a later date. I took it apart and requilted it.

We shall see how much I get done this year. Have a great day!
