Finish It Up Friday ~ Shirting Jelly Roll Quilt

I have a real finish to share! Ta daaaaa!

I love how the quilting made this come alive. It is all “organic” ( read wonky) lines and a wee bit of cursive that reads, “Jesus loves me, this I know.”

It’s hard to read, but I know it’s there.

I used an old piece of blue from the stash for my binding.

The backing fabric was a thrift shop find from a few years back.

It’s a wonky little thing, but I love it!

Have a great day!

Great idea….I bought several garage sale flannel shirts ages ago to make a quilt with. They are sitting in a box.

  6. It’s a terrific finish and the cursive words are so special. I sometimes do the same and don’t mind that they are sort of hidden in plain sight.

  8. Love it, Katy! Always fun to see the little touches you put in your quilts. A fun, creative finish!
