Shirting Jelly Roll

I gave up on the Hexies and put them back in the box. I pulled out this box of 2 1/2 inch strips cut from old shirts instead.

I grabbed these out of the box and decided to make a jelly roll race quilt.

I squared the ends and sewed them into one very long strip.

When I went to change my bobbin, I found this!

Then Daughter #2 called and asked if I wanted to go shopping. Of course, I said yes!

To be continued…

Have a great day!

I have lost interest in my hexies too. They are big, palm-sized ones tho. I may sell the project.

  5. Cute pups under your table. Shopping with daughters is the best! After I commented about the triangle idea on the hexies, I kept seeing your posts on triangles with hexies on Pinterest. Left me chuckling, as you commented about how many triangles were needed. Ha – yeah – so maybe not, huh? Enjoy your day!
