Slow Stitching Sunday

I finally got a lamp in the family room that I can stitch by in the evenings. Thanks, Good Will!

Now this should finish up quickly. I had planned to use this gold and white for the background.

But I’m rethinking that decision. I tried this too.

I think it needs to be a solid. I sure am glad I didn’t cut the Hexies already. I’m trying not to buy anything, but my stash here is limited so this will take some thinking.

Have a great day!

About katyquilts

I am a wife, mom of four amazing kids, and a librarian. I have been making traditional quilts for ages but have ventured into art qulting in the last several years. I also love to knit socks and mittens and dye my own fabric. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!

The red makes it sing. IMHO, of course!

The red background makes it warmer i think (feel). But……
Here in north of the Netherlands it is getting colder.

I like the light background because I like the contrast. And it reads as a solid, saving the search.
