I went home to visit my mom this past week. The drive was beautiful!
Of course I took the puppies with.
My mom asked me to put new sheets on the pull out couches for her. What did I find? The second quilt I ever made! Boy is it faded and ugly!
Yep, that date is 1988.
Just wow. I also found a baby quilt I made for a nephew now being used by a foster baby.
Not sure what I was thinking with those colors. Anyway, fun to see them still being used. Have a great day!
It is amazing how our tastes change over time. In looking at old quilt magazines, So far though, my old quilts just remind me of the history and the people, etc, and they don’t look ugly to me. Your quilts don’t look ugly to me.
That’s awesome! hearts, hearts, hearts…. The quilting is great!!
Oh, I think we all have a few of those! Good memories, and evidence of progress.
Those early quilt projects do remind us how far we’ve come on our quilting journey, don’t they?
