Slow Stitching Sunday

Sometimes, you just have to break the rules. Rules like quilting before binding.

I have not finished quilting this, but I added the binding anyway. I did have all the quilting around the outside edges of the quilt done before binding.

The mister and I had some traveling to do and I wanted to work on this. By adding the binding, I could trim up the edges and either quilt or hand stitch the binding while on the road.

I wish I could remember what this green fabric is and where it came from. I love it!

Have a great day!

About katyquilts

I am a wife, mom of four amazing kids, and a librarian. I have been making traditional quilts for ages but have ventured into art qulting in the last several years. I also love to knit socks and mittens and dye my own fabric. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!

  1. I do that all the time! It’s not breaking a rule – it’s practical and a good idea. I love your colorful baptist fans!
