I’ve finished my doll quilt for the swap! Except for the label, I always drag my feet on that part. Anyway, it was inspired by this backing fabric and a blog post by Barbara Brackman on madder prints.
I hand quilted it, but kept it simple.
This print could only be better, if there were dogs in place of the cats.
The prints are not all ladders, but I think they go well together.
I love prints like this!
I might have to make a quilt like this for myself.
Ta daaaaa!!!!!
I hope to get the label done and get this on the mail tomorrow.
Have a great weekend!
It looks great. Good luck with the label. I’ve been playing with big stitch hand quilting, and I quite enjoy it. Happy Easter.
I love madders and I love your quilt! That backing makes me smile!!! I agree about a dog instead of a cat.
Someone is going to be tickled pink when they open their package and see your quilt! It is just adorable. I’m with you on the dog part! LOL Have a great weekend. Hugs,
I recognize many of those prints, Katy, and it reminds me I have a big stack of madder prints that needs thinning out. I’m going to take a look at the quilt BB posted about and think about doing my own version. Your mini is adorable. Thanks for the inspiration!
