DWMonday ~ New Leader/Ender Project

I have started a new batik leader/ender project in an attempt to empty this box.

First I see them into twosies.

And then into foursies. Like my technical terms? I think I will lay them out like this.

I’ll likely use a solid alternate rectangle, like this.

This kind of very simple project works well for me as a leader/ender project. It is mindless.

If you don’t know what leader/enders are click here.

Have a great day!

About katyquilts

I am a wife, mom of four amazing kids, and a librarian. I have been making traditional quilts for ages but have ventured into art qulting in the last several years. I also love to knit socks and mittens and dye my own fabric. I am thankful to God my Father and Creator for the gift of creativity!

A LONG time ago, I collected quite the batik stash – and have barely touched it in the past 3 or 4 years. I did just start a project, and used up a few bigger pieces, but I have a lot left! I’m going to keep your project in mind – thanks for the inspiration!

    Ooo, pretty.

  3. Oh, that navy really makes the batiks pop! Love it!

This is going to be a great quilt!

  5. This looks great, I’ll have to ‘steal’ that idea!!! I need to start another leader/ender project…I have some 2.5×4.5 rectangles from the last time I did one AND I bought a die cutter for that size too! No excuses now 🙂
